Chicken and maekju. Who couldn't love it? I think the first time I tried it was when I was back in university Taekwondo club. After training we'd get hungry right? So we'd train as a group and then go eat as a group. Later I moved to a different club and our master's father owned a Korean restaurant, so we'd regularly go there. We needed the protein to build up after the training after all (or perhaps that was an excuse. For now, I'll maintain that it was all for the training :P Gosh we worked hard)
Bibimbap is both super healthy and great to look at (before you mix it up that is!). I tried it when I first came to Korea and my coworkers took me out for lunch. I wasn't sure what all the ingredients were, was told they are different kinds of 'namool'. The one I had also had a fistful of beef sashimi 'yookhwae', unlike the one in the picture. Since then, I've found out that there are different varieties of bibimbap, but my all time favorite is Chunju (named after the city it is from) bibimbap!
